These terms apply to enrolment in the EIM™ Gua Sha Professional Diploma provided by Komorebi Institute, Barcelona, Spain.

Please read these terms before accepting an offer or making a payment.
By enrolling in the programme, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer right available under applicable law.
1. The Program
The EIM™ Professional Diploma is a private professional education programme delivered by Komorebi Institute.
The programme combines:
- Online study
- Live online supervision
- Independent practice and casework
- An eligible four-day live immersion
- Assessment and final integration requirements
Students follow either the Integrative Facial or Integrative Therapeutic track.
The Diploma is a private professional qualification. It is not a government licence, academic degree or authorisation to practise a regulated profession.
2. Eligibility and Acceptance
Admission is by application.
Komorebi Institute may consider:
- The applicant’s professional background
- Existing qualifications
- Current scope of practice
- Previous EIM™ training
- Ability to meet the programme commitment
- Suitability for the chosen track
Submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
If accepted, the applicant will receive written confirmation of:
- The approved Diploma track
- Tuition
- Any applicable alumni adjustment
- Live-immersion requirements
- Payment options
- Relevant enrolment deadlines
The applicant is responsible for ensuring that participation in the programme and use of the material are permitted within their professional scope and local laws.
3. Program Dates and Commitment
The program begins in September 2026.
Weekly academic modules are currently scheduled from September 2026 to July 2027. Any remaining assessment, completion or administrative requirements will be communicated to enrolled students.
Students should expect to dedicate approximately 3–5 hours each week to lessons, practical work, casework and related assignments.
Monthly live supervision sessions are recorded. Students who cannot attend live are responsible for reviewing the recording and completing any associated work.
4. Live-Immersion Requirement
Students must complete an eligible four-day EIM™ live immersion corresponding to their Diploma track.
The immersion may be completed before or during the academic programme but must be completed before the Final Integration Review.
An eligible previous EIM™ live training may satisfy this requirement if:
- It corresponds to the student’s Diploma track
- It falls within the applicable recognition period
- It meets the current programme requirements
Komorebi Institute will confirm any exemption in writing.
Travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, visas and other personal expenses connected with attending the immersion are not included in Diploma tuition unless expressly stated otherwise.
5. Programme Assessment
Receiving the Diploma is conditional upon successful completion of all required components.
These may include:
- The relevant online foundation course
- An eligible four-day live immersion
- Weekly academic activities
- Documented practice
- Casework
- Required assignments
- The Final Integration Review
Enrolment and attendance alone do not guarantee that the Diploma will be awarded.
If submitted work does not initially meet the required standard, Komorebi Institute may provide an opportunity for revision or resubmission. Any deadline or additional requirement will be communicated to the student.
Failure to complete the programme within the stated period may require an extension, reassessment or additional fee where further individual supervision or assessment is necessary. Any additional fee will be disclosed before the student agrees to the extension.
6. Tuition
The tuition stated in the student’s written offer is the total tuition applicable to that student’s approved pathway.
Possible tuition pathways include:
New Student
Standard tuition: $5,250 USD
Pay in full: $4,750 USD
Payment plan: $1,500 deposit followed by 10 monthly payments of $375
Eligible Live-Training Alumnus
Tuition: $3,750 USD
A further $250 reduction may apply when the adjusted tuition is paid in full.
Relevant Online-Course Owner
Tuition: $4,895 USD
A further $250 reduction may apply when the adjusted tuition is paid in full.
Double Diploma
Tuition: $7,750 USD
Any individual adjustment for previous training will be confirmed in writing.
The tuition shown in the student’s acceptance offer takes precedence over general examples displayed on the website.
7. Deposit
A $1,500 deposit is required unless the student pays the applicable tuition in full.
The deposit:
- Forms part of the total tuition
- Is not an additional fee
- Secures the student’s place in the cohort
- May activate access to programme materials
Enrolment is not confirmed until the required deposit or full tuition has been received.
8. Payment Plans
Students choosing a payment plan authorise the agreed instalments to be collected according to the payment schedule provided at enrolment.
The payment plan is a method of paying the total tuition. It is not a monthly subscription that may be cancelled at any time.
The student remains responsible for paying the tuition according to these terms unless a withdrawal, transfer or cancellation is accepted under the provisions below.
If a payment fails:
1. Komorebi Institute will notify the student.
2. The student will be given a reasonable opportunity to update the payment method.
3. Access to programme materials, supervision or assessment may be suspended while the account remains overdue.
4. Repeated failure to pay may result in withdrawal from the programme.
Komorebi Institute will not charge an undisclosed late-payment fee.
9. Fourteen-Day Right of Withdrawal
Where a student enrols online as a consumer, the student may have a legal right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days without giving a reason.
The withdrawal period begins on the date the enrolment contract is concluded.
To exercise this right, the student must send a clear statement of withdrawal through the Komorebi Institute contact form or to the contact details supplied in the enrolment confirmation.
The student may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this policy, but its use is not compulsory.
Where the right of withdrawal applies, any refund due will be processed without undue delay and normally within 14 calendar days of receiving the withdrawal notice.
Immediate Digital Access
Students may choose either:
Option 1: Access after the withdrawal period
The student waits until the 14-day withdrawal period has ended before receiving access to new digital course content.
Option 2: Immediate access
The student expressly requests immediate access to the online foundation course or other digital material before the withdrawal period has ended.
Where immediate access is selected, the student must separately confirm that:
- They request delivery of the digital content to begin immediately
- They understand that accessing the content may affect their right of withdrawal
- They acknowledge any loss of the right of withdrawal that applies to the supplied digital content under applicable law
Any effect on a refund will be limited to what applicable law permits. Statutory rights relating to the remaining services are not automatically removed merely because digital content has been accessed.
10. Cancellation Before the Programme Begins
The following contractual cancellation terms apply in addition to any mandatory legal withdrawal right.
After the 14-day withdrawal period and before September 1, 2026, a student may request cancellation.
Where cancellation is accepted, Komorebi Institute will refund tuition paid, less:
- A $100 administrative charge; and
- The stated retail price of any newly supplied online foundation course that the student accessed and retains
No online-course deduction will apply if the student already owned that course before enrolling.
Instead of receiving a monetary refund, the student may request to transfer the full amount paid to another eligible EIM™ online course or live training.
A transfer credit:
- Must be used within 18 months of the original withdrawal date
- Is subject to availability
- Has no cash value
- May be applied only to training provided directly by Komorebi Institute
- May require payment of any difference in price
A transfer is not confirmed until approved in writing.
11. Withdrawal After the Program Begins
The program requires advance preparation, limited cohort places and a year-long teaching commitment.
Withdrawal During Term 1
A student withdrawing during Term 1 must notify Komorebi Institute in writing.
Any refund will be calculated according to:
- Tuition already paid
- Digital content supplied
- Live training already attended or reserved
- Academic teaching and supervision already delivered
- Assessment or individual support already provided
- Any mandatory rights under applicable law
Where a refund is due, the calculation will be provided to the student in writing.
Any unpaid future instalments that remain payable under the calculation must be settled according to the agreed schedule. Any instalments no longer due will be cancelled.
Withdrawal From January 1, 2027
No contractual tuition refund is normally offered for withdrawal on or after January 1, 2027.
This reflects the academic material already supplied, the limited cohort place reserved and the teaching and supervision commitment made for the full program.
This provision does not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights relating to services or digital content that are faulty, materially misdescribed or not supplied as agreed.
12. Transfers and Deferrals
A request to transfer or defer enrolment must be made in writing.
Transfers and deferrals:
- Are not automatic
- Depend on the reason for the request
- Depend on availability in a future cohort
- May be subject to curriculum or tuition changes
- Must be confirmed in writing
Where a transfer is approved, amounts already paid will normally be applied to the future program.
If the future program has higher tuition, the student will be responsible for the difference. If the future program has lower tuition, no cash refund will normally be provided unless required by law or agreed in writing.
A student may normally defer only once.
13. Changes Made by Komorebi Institute
Komorebi Institute may make reasonable changes to:
- Lesson order
- Module-release dates
- Supervision dates
- Teaching personnel
- Delivery platforms
- Assessment deadlines
- Live-immersion locations
- Program resources
Reasonable changes may be necessary because of illness, travel disruption, venue availability, technology, regulation or other operational circumstances.
Changes will not materially reduce the programme’s overall educational content.
Students will receive reasonable notice of significant changes whenever possible.
14. Cancellation or Postponement by Komorebi Institute
If Komorebi Institute cancels the entire Diploma program before it begins, students will be offered:
- A full refund of Diploma tuition paid; or
- A transfer to a future cohort
If a live immersion is cancelled or postponed, Komorebi Institute will offer an appropriate replacement date or location.
Komorebi Institute is not responsible for non-refundable travel, accommodation, visa or other personal expenses. Students are advised to use flexible bookings and appropriate travel insurance.
This does not affect any right the student may have under applicable law.
15. Student Participation
Students are expected to:
- Engage with the programme professionally
- Treat teachers and other students respectfully
- Protect client confidentiality
- Obtain appropriate client consent for casework
- Remove identifying client information unless its inclusion has been authorised and is necessary
- Work within their qualifications and professional scope
- Follow safety, ethical and assessment requirements
- Avoid presenting course participation as a licence or regulated qualification
Serious or repeated misconduct may result in removal from the program.
Where appropriate, Komorebi Institute will notify the student of the concern and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond before making a final decision.
Removal for serious misconduct does not automatically create a right to a refund, subject to applicable law.
16. Client Cases and Confidentiality
Students must not upload or share identifiable client information without an appropriate legal basis and the client’s informed consent.
Students are responsible for:
- Obtaining any required written consent
- Protecting health and personal information
- Following applicable data-protection requirements
- Using secure methods when recording or transmitting case information
- Removing unnecessary identifying details
Material shared by other students during supervision or within the cohort must be treated as confidential.
Students must not download, reproduce or distribute another student’s case material outside the programme.
17. Recordings
Live supervision sessions may be recorded for enrolled students.
By participating with a camera or microphone, students understand that their contributions may be included in the recording.
Students who do not wish to appear in a recording may:
- Keep their camera switched off
- Submit questions in writing
- Avoid sharing identifying personal or client information
Recordings are for enrolled students only and may not be copied, published, shared or distributed.
Komorebi Institute will not use a student’s image, testimonial or identifiable case material for public marketing without separate permission.
18. Intellectual Property
All course materials remain the intellectual property of Komorebi Institute or the identified rights holder.
Enrolment gives the student a personal, limited and non-transferable right to use the materials for their own education and professional reference.
Students may not:
- Share account access
- Copy or distribute course videos
- Upload materials to another platform
- Sell or sublicense programme content
- Teach the EIM™ curriculum as their own
- Reproduce manuals, diagrams or assessments
- Use EIM™ trademarks in a way that implies authorisation beyond the qualification awarded
Students retain ownership of their original casework, subject to the rights and confidentiality of their clients.
19. Professional Scope and Results
The programme provides professional education. It does not provide medical, legal, financial or regulatory advice.
Completion of the Diploma:
- Does not guarantee business income
- Does not guarantee particular client outcomes
- Does not provide a government licence
- Does not replace professional insurance
- Does not authorise a student to work outside their legal scope
Students are responsible for determining which techniques and services they may legally provide.
20. Technology
Students require:
- A reliable internet connection
- A suitable computer or mobile device
- An active email address
- Access to the programme’s selected learning and video platforms
Komorebi Institute will take reasonable steps to maintain access but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms.
Students should report technical access problems promptly so that a reasonable solution can be provided.
21. Privacy
Personal information is processed for purposes including:
- Application review
- Enrolment administration
- Payment
- Programme delivery
- Student support
- Assessment
- Certification
- Legal and accounting requirements

22. Complaints
A student with a concern should first contact Komorebi Institute through the website contact form.
The complaint should include:
- The student’s name
- The programme and track
- A description of the concern
- The preferred resolution
- Any relevant supporting information
Komorebi Institute will acknowledge the complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 14 working days.
Nothing in this process prevents a consumer from using any statutory complaint, mediation or dispute-resolution mechanism available to them.
23. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Spanish law.
If the student is legally considered a consumer, this choice of law does not remove any mandatory protection available under the law of the country in which the student habitually resides.
The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith.
Any jurisdiction provision will apply only to the extent permitted by applicable consumer law.
24. Changes to These Terms
The version accepted by the student at enrolment will govern that student’s participation.
Komorebi Institute may update the terms for future applicants. A material change will not be applied retrospectively to an enrolled student without a valid reason and appropriate notice.
