Read MoreNew Licensed Esthetician
Hi everyone!
I'm a newly licensed esthetician, currently exploring different modalities to shape my path as a holistic esthetician. I'm especially excited to learn more about gua sha techniques and how to thoughtfully integrate them into my services. I'm also curious about practices like Ayurveda and want to build a well rounded foundation before bringing theses approaches to my future clients. Looking forward to learning alongside you all!

Hello!
Hi everyone, my name is Shannon. I have been a licensed Estie since 2008. I am incredibly passionate about everything beauty, wellness, and health. I look at skin care from an integrative approach and help clients to gain a better understanding of the relationship between their skin and their body and lifestyle. I am so excited to deep dive into this Guasha course. I hope to gain more information to better support clients.
Introduction
Hello all!
My name is Mae and I am extra excited about being a part of this group. This group is a great accountability for me and a new way to learn from others. My interest of Ecology in Motion is because of the perfect alignment this education offers in reaching and pursuing my professional goals.

#1 Treatment: Chest Tightness, Heart Palpitations & Stress
Symptoms: Chest tightness, heart palpitations, stress
Signs: The muscles of the back felt tight, the left shoulder was raised at rest
Treatment: Scraping down the Du, Bladder and Small Intestine rivers on the back
Result:
The dark sha observed on the spine near the thoracic vertebrae T4-T5 aligns with expectations, given that the nerve roots from T3-T5 vertebrae innervate the chest and upper organs of the thoracic cavity. Furthermore, the proximity of T5 vertebra to the Huatojiaji area, associated with the heart, illustrates a connection between Western and Chinese medicine. Additionally, the extensive sha areas flanking this dark patch on the spine fall within the Back shu region related to the heart. These regions, akin to acupoints, have a direct association with the corresponding organ beneath them.
Other areas of note include the Du channel, which extends down the midline of the neck to the dark sha, followed by minor traces below, leading to a pronounced indented valley. This suggests that the upper part of the back rivers are congested and the lower is suffers from weakness.
Much of the sha is largely attributable to congestion in the chest region, which would explain the symptoms connected with the heart.
During the treatment, immediate relief was experienced, and the benefits persisted for several months.
