A 12-month mentored programme for practitioners ready to specialise in facial or therapeutic Gua sha

Move beyond technique-based certification through advanced study, supervised practice and direct mentorship with Clive Witham.
The EIM™ Professional Diploma combines weekly online study, monthly live supervision, applied casework and hands-on immersion. It is the highest level of Ecology in Motion™ training offered by Komorebi Institute.
Next cohort begins September 2026
The application takes approximately seven minutes. No payment is required to apply.
Certification establishes the technical foundation. Professional competence develops through repeated practice, feedback, case discussion and the opportunity to apply new ideas with real clients.
The EIM™ Professional Diploma has been designed around that principle.
During the programme, you will examine the relationships that influence facial and body presentations, apply the EIM™ framework to your own client work and receive guidance as your understanding develops.
The aim is not to collect more techniques. It is to become more precise, adaptable and confident in the way you use the techniques you already have.
By the end of the programme, successful students should be able to:
Both tracks share a common academic foundation before separating into specialist study.
EIM™ Integrative Facial Gua Sha Diploma
Dip. EIM (IF)

The Integrative Facial track focuses on:
EIM™ Integrative Therapeutic Gua Sha Diploma
Dip. EIM (T)
For practising massage therapists, bodyworkers, acupuncturists, manual therapists and appropriately qualified health professionals whose existing scope permits therapeutic bodywork.
The Integrative Therapeutic track focuses on:
Students remain responsible for working within the laws and professional scope that apply in their country or region.
The Diploma brings together three forms of learning.
You receive lifetime access to the EIM™ online foundation course corresponding to your chosen track.
The online course provides a permanent reference for the technical foundations of EIM™ Gua sha and prepares new students for the live immersion and advanced academic work.
The live immersion develops the physical skills that cannot be properly assessed through online study alone.
Approximately 75% of the immersion is hands-on. You receive real-time correction of:
Students who have already completed eligible EIM™ live training in the same track may receive an exemption and an alumni tuition adjustment.
Weekly lessons and monthly supervision develop the reasoning needed to apply EIM™ principles to real professional work.
You study independently, apply the material in practice and bring questions and cases to the monthly supervision sessions.
All monthly sessions are recorded.
Each month includes:
The programme is structured for practising professionals. Most students should allow approximately 3–5 hours each week for lessons, practice and casework.
Both tracks study together during the first term.
Subjects include:
Students move into their chosen specialist tracks.
The final term brings the academic and practical work together.
Subjects include:
Term 1 | Common Core
November 23 is a scheduled break.
Term 2 | Specialization
February 15 is a scheduled break.
Term 3 | Professional Integration
May 31 is a scheduled break.
The Diploma is awarded for completing and meeting the required standard across the full programme.
Students must complete:
The live immersion must correspond to the chosen Diploma track and must be completed before the Final Integration Review.
Students who do not initially meet the required standard will receive guidance on the work that must be revised or resubmitted.
This is not a self-study course.
Bring questions about the lessons, practical application and professional cases directly to Clive.
The supervision sessions are recorded and added to the programme for students who cannot attend live.
You study alongside practitioners following the same Facial or Therapeutic track.
The private cohort space provides a place to discuss the material, share professional experience and work through questions arising in practice.
Students can submit questions and case-related observations between supervision sessions. Responses are provided through the programme’s support space.
The relevant online foundation course is included with lifetime access. Supervision recordings and program resources remain organised within the learning environment for reference during the programme.

Q: Do I need to be an acupuncturist?
A: No. The program is open to a range of practising professionals. These may include estheticians, facial therapists, massage therapists, bodyworkers, acupuncturists and other appropriately qualified professionals.
Your professional background must be appropriate for your chosen track.
Q: How much time will I need each week?
A: Allow approximately 3–5 hours each week for lessons, practical application, reading, casework and related assignments. Some weeks may require more or less time.
Q: Do I have to attend the monthly supervision live?
A: Live attendance is strongly recommended because it allows you to participate in the discussion and ask questions directly. All supervision sessions are recorded for students who cannot attend.
Q: Where does the live immersion take place?
EIM™ live immersions are offered in selected locations in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and other international locations. You may choose an eligible immersion corresponding to your Diploma track.
Q: When must I complete the live immersion?
A: The matching live immersion may be completed before or during the academic programme. It must be completed before the Final Integration Review. If you have already completed eligible EIM™ live training in the same track, you may receive an exemption.
Q: What if I have already studied with EIM™?
A: Include all previous EIM™ study in your application. Eligible training in the same track may reduce your tuition or remove the need to repeat the live immersion. Older training may require an update before it can be applied to the Diploma.
Q: Can I change Diploma tracks?
A: A: You may request a track change, but approval depends on your professional background and the stage of the program. Study completed in one track does not automatically satisfy the requirements of the other. Additional online study, live training or tuition may therefore be required.
Q: Can I complete both Diplomas?
A: Yes. The Double Diploma pathway includes the additional specialist study and foundation requirements needed for both awards.
Q: What qualification will I receive?
Successful students receive a private professional Diploma issued by Komorebi Institute:
Dip. EIM (IF), or
Dip. EIM (T)
It is not a government licence and does not change your legal scope of practice.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: A 14-day cancellation period applies, subject to the access conditions contained in the Diploma Terms.
After that period, refund and transfer provisions depend on the date of withdrawal and the materials already accessed.
Please read the full Diploma Terms before paying your deposit.
