Ecology in Motion™ is the professional framework developed by Clive Witham following more than twenty-five years of clinical practice, teaching and research.
Rather than viewing the body as a collection of isolated parts, Ecology in Motion understands it as an interconnected system in which structure, movement and function continually influence one another. This perspective encourages practitioners to look beyond local symptoms and consider the wider relationships that contribute to a client's presentation.
The result is a practical framework that helps practitioners observe more accurately, reason more clearly and adapt treatment to the individual rather than relying on fixed routines or predetermined protocols.
Ecology in Motion is taught throughout every programme at the Komorebi Institute, from introductory online courses to the Professional Diploma. As practitioners progress, they develop not simply additional techniques, but a way of thinking that can be applied across a wide range of clinical situations.
For many students, learning Ecology in Motion changes more than the way they practise Gua sha. It changes the way they observe the body itself.
